WORK PROCESS FOR CUSTOM-MADE SHOES

1. BLUEPRINT OF THE FEET

No foot is the same. That’s why every assignment starts with measuring the feet. Based on the blueprint I made of your foot, I select or order matching shoe-lasts and make fitting shoes. After you tried the fitting shoes, I adjust these until they fit perfectly. After this the design process starts.

2. DESIGN PROCESS

Every design starts with discussing your ideas. What type of shoe do you have in mind, what’s the desired heel height, what type of shoe nose do you prefer? Together we decided on the colors and select leather. Next I make five sketches. Is there a sketch you love? Then the real work starts.

3. MAKING A PATTERN & AN INSOLE

Based on the sketch, I make a pattern and cut, adjust and stitch the leather. I do this for the lining and the leather that’s placed on the outside (upper leather). I also make the insole with special material for the correct support.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”80″][/vc_column][vc_column offset=”vc_col-md-6″ css=”.vc_custom_1483319295686{padding-right: 75px !important;}”][vc_empty_space height=”40″][vc_column_text]

4. PLACING LINING & UPPER LEATHER

The lining gets placed and attached over the shoe-last. Between the lining and the upper leather, special strengthening material will be placed at the heel and the toes. Next the upper leather gets placed over the lining.

5. PLACING MIDSOLE & OUTSOLE

Last part of the process is making a sole. First I place a cork filling, then I make a midsole and outsole. Next the outsole gets grated and painted for a perfect finish.

6. FINISH

Last but not least, the shoe gets detached from the shoe-last, an inlay sole gets placed for ultimate comfort and the shoe gets waxed.
